The Sound of Light Experience
July 12th | 7:30PM | The Church, St. Stephen's Street, IP1 1DP, Ipswich

There are performances you watch — and then there are experiences that move through you. Sound has always been the oldest medicine. This evening, you'll feel why.

Unfolding as a single, carefully shaped musical journey, The Sound of Light Experience brings together live voice, drone, rhythm, and original song in an immersive arc that moves from ancient Sanskrit invocation through to contemporary composition. Layered textures and dynamic interplay between musicians create something that is at once intimate and vast — precise in its architecture, yet completely alive in the moment.

Grammy-nominated composer and vocalist Radhika Vekaria has a rare gift: the ability to move listeners from the mind into the heart. Drawing from Vedic wisdom, her East African and Indian heritage, and years of cross-cultural collaboration, she builds sonic environments that transcend language, background, and time.

This is not a concert to observe. It is an experience to be held by.

Come as you are. Leave changed.

ABOUT RADHIKA VEKARIA

Radhika Vekaria is a Grammy-nominated British Indian–East African vocalist, composer, and sensory artist whose life's work is rooted in a simple but profound conviction: music is medicine.

Named after Radha — the Vedic symbol of devotion — her relationship with sound began not on a stage, but in childhood, where a speech impediment made music her first true language. Where words failed her, sound spoke. That early discovery has shaped everything since.

She was once headed toward a career in oncology, with Oxford and Cambridge on the horizon. Instead, something pulled her toward music — and what followed has been an extraordinary unfolding of cultures, collaborations, and deep philosophical inquiry. She has worked alongside artists including Prince, Enrique Iglesias, Armin van Buuren, and Troye Sivan, yet her truest calling has always been the ancient — the sacred sound traditions of Sanskrit and Vedic wisdom, brought into conversation with the contemporary world.

Her album SAPTA: The Seven Ways marked a return to her earliest musical loves, beginning as an exploration of Vedic sound and evolving into something healing — first for herself, and then for those who listened. Her most recent album, Warriors of Light, earned a 2025 GRAMMY® nomination, cementing her place at the meeting point of the sacred and the contemporary.

Radhika has performed internationally at venues and gatherings including the Grammy Museum, Harvard University's Sages & Scientists symposium, the Omega Institute, and luxury cultural spaces such as Naviva Four Seasons and Estelle Manor. She has shared stages in series alongside artists like Anoushka Shankar, Snatam Kaur, and Ganavya, and has collaborated with NASA-JPL on an immersive astrophysical experience. She has performed for spiritual leaders including Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, and her work continues to bridge the worlds of science, consciousness, and sacred sound.

Through her own methodologies — Sound Immersion Alchemy and TRVM (The Resonant Voice Method) — she guides people back to clarity, intuition, and inner stillness. Whether in concert halls, retreat spaces, or intimate gatherings, the intention remains constant.
