ASHTANGA ALCHEMY - SOUND & SOUL

Ashtanga & Shantiseva | Breathwork | Meditation | Bhakti | Freedom Yoga

Ashtanga Alchemy – Sound and Soul brings together the discipline of Ashtanga yoga and the gentleness of restorative practice, held within the healing power of sound. Over two four-day modules, you will move, breathe, rest, chant and listen, and discover how steadiness (sthira) and ease (sukha) can live side by side.

The program is open to all students. Each module can be taken as a stand-alone immersion, and together they offer 100 hours that can be added to a 100-hour or 200-hour teacher training, or serve as your first step into yoga as a way of life.

The emphasis is on thoughtful, safe and compassionate practice and teaching, with props, the Yoga Wall and sound used as tools for support rather than forcing the body into a posture.

  5. Written reflection and integration (1 hr). Prepare a one-page reflection on: What does Ashtanga mean to me? How do breath and movement work together? How can yoga become a therapeutic and mindful practice? What do I hope to deepen through this training?
